At Whatever, they're debating which SF novels qualify as literature (with a capital "L"). To take things off onto a slightly different tack, I'm going to nominate one of my all-time favorite SF short stories--Alfred K. Bester's "Fondly Fahrenheit" (1954). Besides being a terrific thriller, the story's experimental use of POV--rapid slides from "I" (James Vandaleur) to "I" (the android) to third person objective, all in the same paragraph and often without flags--remains striking.
