Discoveries made (or not) while piling books in stacks

1.  I have two copies of Thomas Keneally's Victim of the Aurora.  It seems to me that one would have been perfectly sufficient.

2.  Despite my decision, taken several months ago, to separate anthologies from the rest of the books, a number appear to have escaped into the general population.  (How I failed to notice a six-volume anthology is not altogether apparent to me at this time.)

3.  There is still no sign of Transit of Venus

4.  The world apparently has a surfeit of authors whose last names begin with "M" and "S."
