  • Brida Walker, At the Sign of the Pelican (RTS, [1901]). Early stirrings of the Reformation in France, with a youthful John Calvin putting in an appearance. There's also a short story at the back about the Marian persecutions.

  • Emma Jane Worboise, The Lillingstones of Lillingstone (Strahan, 1874). "Society" novel from a Low Church perspective.
