  • E. W., The Jewish Converts (Morrish, n.d.). Probably an early 20th c. reprint of the 1894 original. A Jewish conversion novel, of the sort discussed in great detail by Michael Ragussis. The mysterious "E.W.," author of another conversion novel called Leah Wolfe, is a bit late in the game--in England, the bulk of Jewish conversion fiction appears between c. 1820s-c. late 1850s. I don't think "E.W." is Elizabeth Wheeler, another evangelical writing similar novels around this time.
