  • Mrs. [Mary Anne] J. Sadlier, trans., The Spanish Captives: A Tale of the Moorish Wars in Spain (Sadlier, 1861).  Catholic historical novel about the rebellion in Granada at the end of the fifteenth century.  (eBay)
  • Evan Gottlieb, Walter Scott and Contemporary Theory (Bloomsbury, 2013).  Reads Scott through several theorists (e.g., Butler, Foucault, Bhabha).  I'm reviewing this for Choice.  (Review copy)
