Fall 2015, the Sabbaticalization: Day Fifteen

Yes, I know I skipped the fourteenth day.  That is because the fourteenth day was spent in a state of virus-related unconsciousness, interspersed with coughing and sneezing.  I'm still doing the coughing-and-sneezing bit, but I seem to have otherwise got over the whatever-that-was.

(I suppose I'm providing evidence for someone's future doctoral dissertation on "Scholarship and the Academic Body.")

In any event, back to work.

1) Reading: regained enough active brain functions to finish Mark Schoenfield's British Periodicals and Romantic Identity.  I now need to take a break from chapter-related reading to review a book.

2) Writing: 926 words (woo-hoo!).  We're now officially in the Victorian period of the chapter.  As I'm not going to go beyond the 1840s-1850s here--all the arguments pretty much fossilize at this point--this is the home stretch for the chapter.

3) Miscellaneous: sent off a referee's report.
