Fall 2015, the Sabbaticalization: Day Seven

First week of the sabbatical completed, with nearly 3000 words of this chapter written.  The last part of the chapter already exists in draft form (it was initially going to be part of something else, but will work far better here).  

1) Reading: several articles on religion and children's literature, plus a chunk of Mark Schoenfield's British Periodicals and Romantic Identity.  (Much to my bemusement, my library doesn't own Jon Klancher's The Making of English Reading Audiences, 1790-1832, which is relevant to this chapter.)  

2) Writing: 500+ words.  Not yet out of the early nineteenth century, but getting closer to the Victorians.  I'll probably circulate this chapter as its own thing, but without the first section.
